Song of the Day

I like this song when I'm trying to navigate a bad day, although I usually listen to the Dandy Warhols cover.

For the record,

"Well I tried to make it Sunday,
but I go so damned depressed,
that I set my sights on Monday and got myself undressed."

is probably one of my favorite song openings of all time. Not sure why.

  1. I remember listening to this and other songs by America when I was a kid traveling in the car with my dad. This particular song really takes me back to my childhood. My dad and I would sing the song out loud together with the cassette tape, and then he would give me a talk afterwords why we shouldn't really say "damn" when we talk, and that America's song was somewhat "bad" in that they did some light swearing. Ha. It seems funny now that I really think about it.

  2. I just figured out this was not a dandy warhols original song. But I like it. I was kind of sheltered from just about ALL music growing up so I don't have a great familiarity with the band America.
